Statement of Faith and Doctrine
At FBC, we adhere to the Word of God, given in His Holy Scriptures and preserved in the English language in the text of the King James Version, as the basis for our doctrine, policy, practice, and standards. Specifically we believe:
- That SALVATION from sin, death and hell, is available only through a personal trust and faith in the work of redemption provided by Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, when he bore our sins on the Cross of Calvary, shedding His Blood and dying, and then rising again from the grave on the third day to conquer death and Satan.
- In the local gathering of New Testament believers constituting the local church, of which Christ is the head.
- That baptism was ordained by Jesus as a public profession of faith in Christ. Baptism cannot save you, but it is a picture of dying to self, and rising to new life in Christ, publically proclaiming that you have been saved from your sins and the punishment of death and hell to walk in newness of life, following Christ Jesus your Savior.
- That Jesus Christ, the Son of God, will return one day to gather His Bride, the raptured church, to himself, and to judge the world at His Coming. Even so Lord Jesus, come quickly. Amen.
